Perhaps it’s my love of the Supernatural, but October is such an awesome month for me. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love seeing all the children dress up in such cute costumes. Every year, I try to something a bit different than other people. A Hippie, bar wench, a vampire countess. Last year, I was the famous Marie Laveau. I know most people have no idea who this is, so I’m going to post a Youtube video for any interested parties. When my daughter was just 6 months old, she loved this song. To this day, even though she’s 5, we still call her this. I love it because it brings back memories of my deceased grandmother. She loved this song, and her name was Marie.

Voodoo is a fascinating subject, and Voodoo Priestesses are so interesting. I would love to meet one in person. If you know any great sites, feel free to share. I need all the research I can get. I’ll be writing a book about Voodoo in a few years. As part of the rules for this blog hop, I’ve decided I’m going to do a contest a bit different than usual. I’m going to post a question. All you have to do to answer it is listen to the song. Post your answer and I’ll use Random.org to draw a winner. The prize is a free copy of my ebook, Heart Over Mind, released Sept 14. If you like stories of fairies, dragons, magic, sex, romance or any other paranormal being, this might be the type of story for you. Everyone be sure to check out the rest of the authors participating in this great blog hop and if you’re a blogger, sign up to join us.

Thanks for reading. Happy Halloween everyone!

Fun question: What is your favorite costume? Do you like unique, or classic?

Question to be answered to be entered into contest: What did Handsome Jack ask Marie Laveau for in exchange for his hand in marriage?

About the Author:

Sara Trimble is a romance author with one romance novel published and another novel in the final revisions process. She also has a collection of over eighty short stories stored away. She works as a columnist with Night Owl Reviews, conducting interviews with best-selling authors and reviewing their books. She is also a reviewer for Night Owl Reviews, as well as Fallen Angel Reviews. She also writes a bi-monthly article for Nocturne Reads.

She resides in West Tennessee, with her husband and family. The mother of 5, she’s proud to be a good ole’ Southern Belle. When she’s not giving in to the wily whims of her Muse, her children or her mischievous Beagle, Sara enjoys spending time at the river with friends, fishing, and hanging out on the Mississippi Coast with her in-laws, listening to stories of days gone by.

Sara enjoys country music, simple life, gravel roads, nature, and sitting on the porch swing under a blanket of stars listening to the crickets sing. Sara’s stories often have elements of romance, paranormal, and/or fantasy. She loves taking readers on a magical journey that she hopes they’ll never forget. Her sense of humor has often been referred to as twisted.

She likes to include her own brand of sarcastic humor and flirty wit in each of her stories. When creating short stories, she ventures out of her comfort zone of romance in an attempt to broaden her writing horizons. She is always trying to further her knowledge of writing techniques.

  1. morgankearnsmusings – Morgan Kearns survived the intense and ever-changing insanity of television news for nearly 10 years before retiring to enter the jungle of raising four children. She writes novels that are ‘a real page turner’ and ‘couldn’t put the book down’ reads. She does an ‘amazing job bringing her characters to life’. Morgan loves to meet new characters as they step out of her imagination, introduce themselves and keep her up all night telling their stories. Morgan lives in Northern Arizona with her wonderfully supportive husband and her four great kids—and her bulldog, Gus.

    1. Sara Trimble – 7289-7983 State Highway 15, Oakland, TN 38060, USA – Since I was little, I’ve always been a people person. I started out early with providing entertainment in the form of short stories. By the time I was in high school, I’d won multiple writing contests and was working for the school newspaper and yearbook. Right out of high school, I started working on novels. I currently have three novels self-published on multiple distribution sites, as well as two novellas. I’ve worked as a magazine columnist doing interviews with authors who have been featured on best selling lists. I’ve also worked for multiple review companies, as well as featured multiple authors on my blog. I now work as a general freelance writer, covering a wide genre of topics, based on my client’s requests. I do blog posts, articles, academic articles, how-to articles, lists, personal essays, fiction, and research. In addition to writing, I also have experience with social media marketing. I’ve spent the last three years helping various business owners promote their businesses. I’ve been involved in helping them set up websites, social media sites, blogs, business cards, logos, tag lines, and advertising in local newspapers and locations. I’ve also helped owners determine sales prices, how to deal with disgruntled or unsatisfied customers, how to determine and meet customers needs, how to analyze sales patterns, and offered suggestions for how to run promotions to increase sales.

  4. LOVE those teeth, LOL!! I think my fave costumes were seeing my hub dressed as Darth Vader (he’s 6’5″) and my daughter as Princess Leia at 10, with the dark donut wig and white gown. That was great. I usually wear a Red Wings jersey. With or without the Octopus hat. ;-D
